The commission involved designing a logo for the Graduate Student Association at the University of Calgary, specifically tailored for the biochemistry and molecular biology department. The challenge was to create a versatile logo that would effectively represent a diverse cohort of students engaged in various research topics within the field. To accommodate the need for multiple applications, a secondary, simpler logo was also developed for use on embroidered merchandise, ensuring that it remained easily recognizable and distinct while reflecting the association's identity. This dual approach allowed for a cohesive brand image that resonates with the wide-ranging interests of the student body while maintaining practicality for merchandise purposes.
